Limerick Challenge Week 6:Feral

baby_mowgli_by_fernl-d32qail

A feral child adopted by a wolf mother

To the pack of small ones, he became a big brother.

She named him MOWGLI, the FROG.

Surpassing others, he quickly grew up as a top dog.

He was a MAN, different from all other.

This one is for my first love on a man of fictional world. I grew up watching and reading him . I can read  JUNGLE BOOK umpteen times 🙂 yes I recently re read it ;). Every time I read it I feel so much of kinship with my MOWGLI. He was surely my dream man 😀 until I learned that he was a fictional character out of a wonderful book 🙂

So for you MOWGLI

Limerick Challenge Week 5: Pain

blog

Pitter-patter, fell the rain drops.

Swaying around, are the green crops.

Taking away all the pain of countryman

So what, if it is only, for short span.

As it is, just like the pleasure of shopping at a slop-shop.

I Know I am very late for submitting my poetry for the challenge, But this was a very hectic week for me , Project release was due this Friday…All the software engineers will understand my difficulty 😛

Any way’s I write these limericks for my improvement so I thought of putting the one I wrote with the given prompt.

Limerick Challenge Week 2: Immortal

He drank the most venomous poison of the universe.

Thus making the intoxicating fumes get disperse.

To prevent him from swallowing it, she grabbed his throat

Hence giving him the only available antidote.

The Immortal NEELKANTHA once again bore the adverse.

This is my dedication to Lord Shiva.

This limerick is motivated from the story of Samudra Manthan.

Rashmi has continued her Limerick Poetry challenge for the year 2016, this is my entry for this week’s challenge.

Weekly Limerick Challenge 12 : Free Flowing!

Her mother often said, “You have beautiful artistic fingers”.

Time had flown by, but those words, in her mind, still lingers.

Since then, she has taken umpteen roles.

Adding different layers to her soul.

Now she is a lady donning black hat with colorful hidden feathers.

Yesterday while doing my dishes, my eyes fell on my kitchen’s wall and I noticed my finger-prints there 🙂

This is my hand print on my kitchen wall 🙂

And I recalled how mother use to say that I have long beautiful fingers just like an artist. I don’t know whether I am an artist or not ..but yes these fingers do my most important things . Typing code for my job (I am a Software Engineer by profession 😉 )  and Typing for my passion(I am a Writer by passion 😉 )

Below are my two most beautiful finger-print pictures 🙂

Weekly Limerick Challenge 11 :SUPRISE

BLOG1

When life surprises you, with its might.

The art is to take, it all, with sheer delight.

There will be times, when you will start losing hope.

And you will think that, you can no more, cope.

It is then, that you have to put up the fight.

As the year draws to an end 🙂 Our journey of 2015 too, gets completed 🙂 A chapter of life is going to get over soon..in next few days. Before it leaves us all, I like to congratulate all of us, for putting up a brave fight against all odds and having our own struggle and survival story of the year 🙂 Like it’s said:

“To each his own”

Be brave 🙂 Keep the spirit high for the coming up year 🙂

Stay Happy 🙂 Stay Blessed 🙂

Weekly Limerick Challenge 10 :WINTER

blog

She ran outside, on hearing the jingle bells,

Come Dear Santa, Come fast, she yells.

Oh! He could not be spotted in the vicinity,

Under her breath, she curses this winter invisibility.

Once again, she beseeches wishing spells.

The above Limerick is piece of my Christmas memory 🙂 When on a foggy winter night (yes that’s how winter’s are in middle northern part of India ) I waited as a small girl for Santa to bring some candies for me.

Weekly Limerick Challenge 9 :SEASON

When it’s still dawn at six-thirty.

And your drowsy eyes, try to see, the up above, hidden orange beauty.

The sky has been lit with a fluorescent glow.

Making it a tranquil show.

It’s the sign that the time has changed, of your duty.

The above picture has been taken on my first morning in my new home. The magnificent beauty struck me so hard that I created a Limerick out of it.
